Australia, 1887 Sydney Jubilee Head Sovereign -
There are a number of harder dates in the Jubilee head sovereign series of coins, but by far the most difficult to obtain in Mint State is the 1887 from Sydney. The example on offer here is graded MS63 with PCGS, and is one of the nicer coins we’ve handled in recent years. For variety collectors, it is the scarcer DISH S4 variety, where the two last periods in the JEB initials touch the lower edge of the truncation. Whether you are a variety collector or are just looking for a superior example of this tough date, this coin is for you.
