The 1968 one cent is one of the key dates to the one cent series. PCGS has graded 206 examples of the 1968 one cent, and of those, only four have graded MS67RD (December 2013). Two of these coins are in old collections and won’t come to the market, while the location of the third example is unknown. The fourth coin, photographed above, is currently the only 1968 one cent in MS67RD available on the market, and is still the equal-finest graded by PCGS, despite what appears to be over four complete rolls having been graded. This is a genuine decimal rarity, one that might be worth putting aside.
