Australia, 2000 One Dollar Mule with Ten Cent Obverse -
The 2000 one dollar mule has been an Australian classic since it was first discovered almost twenty years ago. Eagerly “noodled” by collectors and speculators, all examples on the market were found in circulation. As a consequence, most pieces available to collectors today are circulated, sometimes heavily. In fact, just 11% of all dollar mules graded by PCGS have made a mint state grade, with most coins in MS62 or lower (4/23). The present example, graded PCGS MS63, is superior to most dollar mules we’ve handled. It is fresh and lustrous, devoid of wear or fingerprints, and overflowing with eye appeal. If you’ve always desired a superior mule (as many collectors do), but don’t want to pay five figures for an MS64 example, this coin is your coin.
