Like the 2004 Small head twenty cent piece, the 2005 twenty cent with the platypus reverse was issued only for circulation (the mint sets have the Coming Home twenty cent piece in them). As a result, the 2005 platypus reverse twenty cent in a high Mint State grade is tough. Just look at the PCGS Population Report: Of the Coming Home twenty cent, there are six in MS69, four in MS68, and a smaller number in lower grades. Meanwhile, the highest grade of the standard Platypus twenty cent of 2005 is only MS66 (September 2013), with a small handful in MS65 and lower. This is bound to be a scarce coin as the years go by, which the Greg McDonald catalogue already reflects.
