I was in London last week for the Coinex Coin Show 2015. If you missed it, here are some snaps I took of the two-day event.
The venue: The Millennium Hotel, Mayfair, London. The Millennium Hotel has served as the coin show’s venue for years.
I attended the pre-open dealer session on Friday morning. Even though there were only dealers on the floor, it was busy.
Once the show opened to the public, the floor filled up quickly.
I am photographed here with London coin dealer, Max Tursi.
I am photographed here with the friendly staff of PCGS Paris.
Amongst the many rarities on display and for sale was an 1852 cracked die Type I Adelaide Pound. It was graded PCGS AU58 and priced at £90,000. I believe the price was negotiable.
I am photographed here examining a 1901 proof silver set.
There was a wide range of coins on display, including world bullion coins, UK milled, proof sets, mint sets, and hammered coins.
Some dealers had a pleasing range of PCGS and NGC-certified coins.
The crowds were starting to thin out by Saturday afternoon, the last day of the show.
