2024 Australia in Space One Dollar missing counterstamp

As the counterstamp dollar coins are manually stamped on mobile presses at crowded public events across Australia, some inevitably bypass stamping and enter the coin market without the important counterstamp mark. The present coin, dated 2024 and featuring a stylised space scene, is one of an estimated dozen examples that were accidently released without the counterstamp, and is the first we’ve handled. A scarce modern error coin.
