Although a common date with a mintage of 3,332,691 pieces, the 1907M sovereign is very scarce in PCGS MS64 (as are all Edward VII sovereigns). The median grade of all Mint State 1907M sovs is 63 while the average is 62.65. No examples have graded better than MS64 (6/20). Collectors looking to build an Edward VII sovereign set should aim to buy an example graded at least MS63, but MS64 is also a realistic goal, as they are affordable. For the same reason, if you’re building a type set, the 1907M is an ideal date to represent the monarch.
