Our latest batch of coins has arrived back from PCGS. Highlights from this lot include a 1935 florin and threepence, both in MS66. The florin is the finest graded George V florin graded by PCGS (save for the commemoratives), while the threepence is the equal finest of its date graded. Other highlights include a 1963 Melbourne set graded PR66 - PR67. We’ve also uploaded a high grade 1958 Proof set, an affordable 1956 Proof set, and a top quality 1962 Proof Perth pair.

Yesterday, Drake Sterling’s proprietor Eric Eigner featured on SkyNews in their hour-long business special Your Money, Your Call. Along with two other dealers, Eric fielded questions from the audience about coins’ investment potential over the long term. The evening was all a bit of fun, but it also brought the coin collecting community into the limelight. We’ve launched the new printable price list, which allows clients to print a fully updated black-and-white price list for easy hardcopy viewing. This link is available on the top left-hand corner of every product page.

There have been a few inquiries as to why our product selection hasn't changed at all since the new site was launched. While we are always bringing in new stock, we are unable to update the site with our latest acquisitions at this stage. Our web developers are working tirelessly to launch this functionality, and once it has been, we'll upload over a hundred and fifty new coins, including quality sovereigns and halves, high grade Commonwealth coins, a small series of post-1955 proofs, and some world coins. Additional features, such as improved search functionality and user registration, will be available shortly after. Welcome to the new Drake Sterling website. We’ve implemented a variety of changes to improve usability and functionality across the site. Clients can now search our stock with more specific criteria, such as grade, price range, category, and country. The new home page user interface is easier to use, and has a greater visual impact. We’ve also added a new section called “NEW ARRIVALS”, where the last fifteen coins added to the site can be viewed in one convenient location. This makes it easier for clients to find our latest stock items. Nevertheless, perhaps the biggest change is how clients can interact directly with the site, through new “Buy Now” and “Inquire” buttons attached directly to individual inventory items. This will smooth out the purchasing process by providing clients with available payment options.

There’s still some work to be done, with more special features yet to be incorporated into the site. We’ll tie up these loose ends over the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
