Your coins sometimes look better "in the flesh" than on a computer screen. Why is that?
A collector tends to grade the whole coin if he (or she) has it in hand, but microgrades when he is grading from images on a computer screen. This is a natural tendency, since high quality images are larger than coins and will often show marks and abrasions that are not immediately visible to the naked eye. It’s therefore important not to micrograde coins based on these images, since even the tiniest aberrations, flaws, and imperfections are magnified at high resolution. When interpreting images of coins, consider the images as indicative only.
